Life in Boston

Boston is rich in history and culture and home to numerous colleges and universities. Most area attractions are within walking distance or a few stops on public transportation. Boston Children’s Hospital is located in the Longwood Medical area, surrounded by numerous neighborhoods with housing options and attractive amenities. Some of the neighborhoods close to the Longwood Medical Area include Beacon Hill, Back Bay, the Fenway, Mission Hill, the South End, and Jamaica Plain. The town of Brookline (Coolidge Corner) is also nearby.

Many of Boston’s most popular attractions are not far from Boston Children’s Hospital. The oldest ballpark in the world, Fenway Park, hosts events throughout the year including concerts and baseball games.  World-class cultural attractions such as the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and Boston’s Symphony Hall (home to the Boston Symphony Orchestra) are just a short walk from campus. Several of New England’s great destinations are perfect for a quick day trip outside of the city. Swim at the beaches on Cape Cod, hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, or ski in the Green Mountains of Vermont.
